Our approach
No matter the size or complexity of a project, we always take on a holistic approach. Design and construction projects involve a great deal of time and commitment, and generally go through the following phases:
- The process begins with a thorough assessment to discover client wants and needs. It is imperative to outline project goals to discover how the space will interact with people and its surrounding environment.
Deciding what to build.
- After a thorough assessment and on-site walkthrough of the property is conducted, a series of initial sketches are provided to outline the general layout and function of the building.
Creating initial sketches.
- Sketches are refined to show all rooms in correct size, shape and function. These drawings provide a compelling vision of the design and help illustrate the intention and success of the project.
Visually the project is coming to life.
Refining the design.
- Once the client has approved the design, drawings are coordinated and all the information required to satisfy necessary authorities is completed. The final designs are compiled into a concise construction package.
Packaging the design.
- The project is tendered out to contractors with reputations of delivering based on various performance attributes. Once the tendering process is complete and the client is satisfied with a submission, we select a contractor and award the job. Timelines are then established and scheduled.
Partnering with the best contractors.
- While the project is under construction, the architect acts as a line of communication between contractor and client. The architect ensures the project is constructed according to the plans and specifications. Quality control is of the utmost importance.
